Johannes Groff Horst

The Horst family was residing in the Swiss Canton of Bern in the 1500's, the villages of Guggisberg and Wahlern. The family joined the Anabaptist church by 1591. Between 1660 and 1680 several family members immigrated to the Kraichgau region of Germany, near Heidleberg in Mauer, Meckesheim, Waldhilsbach and the Palatine.
