Jacob M. Hershey

Jacob Hershey and Mary Eby left Lancaster County, Pennsylvania for Palmyra, Missouri, and, then, on to La Junta, Colorado. Colorado had been recommended to cure Jacob's chronic cough. Although, Jacob Hershey did not have tuberculosis, he was interested in its treatment. He became the superintendent for two years of the Mennonite sanatorium in La Junta.
