Christian "Langen" Hershey Senior
(21 Feb 1719 - 21 Nov 1782)
Christian Hershey and his family gave a home to the last two Original Americans to live in Lancaster County, Michael and Mary. Michael and Mary were Delaware speaking Conesgotas.
Christian bought 400 acres in 1736 that straddles present-day Indian Village west of Lititz. Christian and Anna's son, Christian, built the existing limestone house in 1792, and the Kreider Farms dairy now occupies the land. A 1757 bookplate from Langen Christian's Martyrs' Mirror is at the Ephrata Cloister.
