B. Abner Betts

Abner Betts was elected Washington County commissioner in 1888. He was elected to state legislature in 1897 and to the state Senate in 1899. He was a member of the Reformed Church in Cavetown. Abner Betts was a businessman in Chewsville, Maryland. He built a station along the Western Maryland Railroad track. Abner was an agent for the railway.
