Individual Details
David I. Funk
(29 Nov 1787 - 23 Nov 1876)
One source had David Funk married to Susan Funk, but Agnes Young listed him as marrying Mary Funk. Young also recorded "wives" of David Funk being buried in Fahrney Church Grave Yard near Mapleville, Washington, Maryland. It is possible he married both Susan and Mary, although Yound does not mention Susan as ever marrying.
David Funk was a cabinet maker and, later, a farmer. He and his wife, Mary Funk, belonged to the German Baptist Church until her death in 1824. Then, he joined the Christian of Disciples Church. He retired to Illinois in 1856, where he lived with his daughter, Barbara.
