Individual Details

Michael Siegrist, Sr., Anna, his wife, and his brother, Bartholomew and family, landed in Philadelphia on 27 September 1727 aboard the James Goodwill from Rotterdam, Holland. Michael signed a declaration of peace and soon gained ownership of 208 acres in West Hempfield Township, near Silver Springs, in 1743. While he never naturalized as a British citizen, Michael did sign the Declaration of Loyalty on 1 April 1728.
