Alvin Packer Stauffer Doctor

Alvin Stauffer taught school from 1875 to 1882. In 1882, he began studying medicine, and he graduated from the Medical College of Cincinnati, Ohio in 1885. For a few years, Alvin practiced medicine in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, before opening his office in Hagerstown, Maryland in 1887.

Alvin Stauffer was appointed to the Washington County Board of Education on 14 March1914 by Governor P. L. Goldsborough. He belonged to Saint John's Lutheran Church.
