Benedictus Ulrich Brechbuehl
(18 Feb 1666 - 26 Apr 1720)
Benedictus Brackbill was ordained a Mennonite Bishop in 1689 in Switzerland. He was arrested in 1709 and banished in 1710. Benedictus came to America in 1717, and he founded the Strasburg Mennonite Congregation. He purchased 530 acres in Strasburg Township from Hans Funk 1717 September 25.
