Johannes "Hans" Landes Senior
(Abt 1544 - 30 Sep 1614)
Hans Landis, Sr. was an Anabaptist who resided on the west side of Lake Zurich. The Landis family figured prominently in the religious movement in the late 1500s and early 1600s in Switzerland. Johannes Landis was the last Anabaptist Martyr to be executed in Switzerland. He was beheaded in 1614.
