Individual Details
John E. "Hill" Landis
(18 Apr 1779 - 23 Jan 1858)
John Landis was known as "Hill Landis" because his farm was near a hill at the southern edge of Neffsville, and at the end of Kreider Avenue, in Manheim Township, Lancaster Coutny, Pennsylvania.
Emmert Bittinger showed that John Landis' father was Henry Landis, not John Landis as given by D. B. Landis in his 1888 book, The Landis Family of Lancaster County.
