Individual Details

Henrich Hirt Landis

(26 Aug 1716 - )

Heinrich Landis was a saddle maker in Amwell (now Ringoes), New Jersey. His home was still standing in 1955.
Henrich Landis was shown by Charles Andrew as marrying twice. His second wife was listed as Catherine Graff, daughter of Henry Groff and Anne Harley. Andrew also listed 14 children for Heinrich Landis and Catherine Graff. There is a contradiction that needs resolving. Heinrich Landis is listed as marrying Catherine Graff in 1754 and as dying in 1756. He could not have fathered 14 children with Catherine if they married in 1754 and he died in 1756. Either the children are not his or he lived much longer.
