Individual Details
Hendrich Weber
(Abt 1690 - 1745)
Noah Oberholtzer, Jr. gave 1717 as the year of Henrich's arrival in America, but Heinrich's father bought land in the Pequea Valley in 1711. Houser and Groff listed the whole family (Henry's parents and Henry's siblings) coming together sometime before 1718. Barbara Krol gave his immigration year as 1710. Another wrote that he came to America between 1712 and 1717 with his brothers John and George. Jacob, George, Henry and David Martin (brother-in-law) bought 3,000 acres of land beween 1721 and 1723 in Weber Thal (Weaverland).
Henrich moved from Wiezenthal to Weberthal after marrying Maudlin Kendig. On 24 October 1726 he obtained a survey for 365 acres "on a branch of Conestoga Creek" in Earl Township. In modern times, much of his land became a stone quarry. Some of his land became a portion of the Weberthal Cemetery.
Hendirch Weber signed the Declaration of Loyalty 1 April 1728, and became a naturalized British citizen 14 February 1729/30.
Weaverland was located between Blue Ball, Pennsylvania and the Conestoga Creek. Henry Weber, along with his brothers, moved there in 1723. It was the first Mennonite settlement in the area.
Henry Weber was naturalized on 14 February 1729/1730.
