Hugh Solenberger came early in the development of McLean County, North Dakota. His father, Noah Solenberger, homesteaded in 1887, and the family joined Noah in 1888. Hugh helped organize the McLean County Farm Bureau and the Farmers Union Oil Company. Among many roles, Hugh served as a director of the Federal Land Bank of McLean County, North Dakota.
