Wentworth W. Wheeler
(6 Sep 1847 - 18 Aug 1924)
Wentworth Wheeler served in the Illinois Volunteers during World War II. After the war, he ran an implement business. In 1881 his brother-in-law, John H. Swingley, and he opened a cooal and feed business in Kansas City. He returned to Mount Morris in 1899 and became a partner in Sprecher and Wheeler Dry Good Company. In 1908, he returned to Kansas City, where he was associated with the Townly Metal and Hardware Company. Wentworth retired in 1922.
