Henry S. Eavey

(31 May 1820 - 23 Dec 1903)

Henry Eavey was a farmer until 1874 when formed a banking partnership with the Hoffman brothers. The firm was named "Hoffman, Eavey and Company." Later the name was changed to "Eavey, Lane and Company." Henry Eavey was elected to the Maryland legislature in 1864. He also served on the Washington County school board and the Orphans' Home board. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Hagerstown.
