Daniel Webster Reichard

Daniel Reichard was a horticulturist and fruit grower in Washington County. He also farmed and operated a hardware store at various times. He owned the "John Brown Farm." This was the headquarters for John Brown prior to his raid on Harper's Ferry in 1859.
Daniel Reichard was a Republican, and was Deputy Internal Revenue Collector for some years. He also led the Hagerstown Fair Association.
