Individual Details
Moses S. Zimmerman
(5 Mar 1892 - 1986)
Moses Zimmerman and his family were featured in a 1943 "propaganda film Farmer at War." A 2014 article in the Pennsylvania Mennonite Heritage journal explored the reason a practicing pacifist would participate. The short answer given was that Moses believed in growing food for all, including soldiers, and that he had relatives that chose to serve in the military in World War II.
