Harry Keller owned and ran an insurance business from 1900 to 1950 in Hagerstown, Maryland. As a young man, Harry studies to become a missionary, but illness ended his training. When he recovered, he opted to insurance. Along the way, he graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and taught in several schools. He opened a college preparatory school. He belonged to the Zion Reformed Church.
