Edwin Myley Schindel Medical Doctor

In 1906 Edwin Schindel practiced medicine in Hagerstown, Maryland. He graduated from the University of Maryland in 1883. Before entering medical school, Edwin taught school. For twelve years, Edwin was a surgeon for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad in Hagerstown, Maryland, and the attending physician for the Bellevue Asylum. In 1898 and 1900 Edwin was elected mayor of Hagerstown, Maryland on the Democrat Party ticket. He belonged to the Elks and the Washington County Medical Society.
