Ezra Clayton Wyand

E. Clayton Wyand was born in the house used by General George McClellan as the headquarters of the Army of the Potomac. He lost his hearing before 1894 from an attack of spinal meningitis. He graduated from Gallaudet College in Washington, DC in 1902 with a BA and in 1905 with a MA.
In 1906 E. Clayton Wyand taught school and edited the "Maryland Bulletin--"a newspaper for the deaf at various schools for the deaf.
E. Clayton Wyand published "The Putnam, Wyand and Snyder Families: The German Settlement in Lower Washington County."
