Samuel Boyer

Samuel Boyer was a blacksmith. On 10 December 1755, Hans and his wife, Maria, sold one acre of their land for the Byerland Mennonite Meetinghouse in present-day Pequea Township. In 1949 the log meeting house was moved one-third mile to the intersection of Byerland Church Road and Mt. Hope School Road.
Samuel and Maria sold their Conestoga farm in 1776, and bought 226 acres in Hamilton Township in York County (present-day Highland Township, Adams County). Samuel's valuables upon his death included twenty religious books.
