David Henry Wyand

David Wyand started as a shoe maker at Eakle's Mill, Maryland, as did his brother--Frederick Wyand. Later, he opened the Line House hotel in Keedysville, Maryland. During the Civil War he was drafted, but David hired a substitute to take his place. David Wyand ran several times unsuccessfully for office as a Prohibitionist Party candidate. He was a United Brethren.
