Heinrich Karli

Heinrich Karle landed in Philadelphia on 8 October 1737 aboard the Charming Nancy along with his wife, Anna, son, Joseph, and mother--who was blind. After residing in Germantown (section of Philadelphia), he bought 145 acres in Manor Township on 3 February 1752. His 1536 Froschauer Bible is in the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society library.
