Albert R. "Al" Karras, 92, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Hudson, died Wednesday, February 19.
The son of Joseph Henry and Anna Waxon Karras, he graduated from Hudson High School in 1928. On June 17, 1939, he was married to Katherine B. Leindecker at Sacred Heart Church in St. Paul. He worked at 3M for many years, retiring in 1974. His hobbies included reading and gardenng.
Preceding him in death were two sons, Roger and Joe; a sister, Nell Karras; and a granddaughter, Angela Karras. Surviving are his wife, Katherine, of Ocala; four children, Nancy (Lynn) Jacobson of St. Mary's Point, Minnesota, mary (Kevin) Staberg of Columbia, South Carolina, Richard (Marita) Karras of Maplewood, Minnesota and Jerome (Bobi) Karras of North Hudson; 16 grandchildren: Michael and David Karras of Phoenix, Arizona, Ann (Eric) Mortenson of Victoria, Minnesota, Paul Jacobson of Lakeland, Minnesota, Peter Jacobson of Eau Claire, Zachary Karras of Maplewood, Minnesota, Tom Karras of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jolene Karras of Ocala, Florida, Alyssa, Rachel and Nathan Karras of North Hudosn, Stephanie, Greg and Brady Staberg of Columbia, South Carolina, Peppin and Jacob Karras of Casanovia; and one great granddaughter.
Funeral Mass, March 14, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Hudson.
