Lt. Michael Thome is Rescued From Germans
Lt. Michael Thome, 28, the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nickolas Thome of this coummunity, reported missing in action in Germany on Dec. 16, has been rescued from a German Prisoner of War Camp by the Russians and is now safe in the hands of friends in Poland, according to a war department telegram received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Thome of Spring Valley.
The Thome family have five in the service of the United: 1st Lieut. Michael; Marie, an Army Cadet nurse; Margaret, with the Marine Corps Women's Reserve; Fred, in the Army in the Phillipines and Antoinette in the WAVES.
