Reuben Laurence Staberg
Reuben Laurence Staberg, 73, a former resident of Hudson, died of a massive heart attack Monday, April 8, in Bellevue, Wash., where he had lived for the past 10 years.
The body will be cremated and the ashes will be brought to Hudson for a memorial service in May. Date of the service will be announced later.
He was born in Hudson Oct. 1, 1911, the son of Joseph and Caroline Staberg.
Surviving are his wife, the former Rosemary Kurrasch; two daughters, Gloria Walkley of Olympia, Wash., and Jennifer Stai of Eau Claire; a son, Lawrence Staberg of Bellevue; three brothers, James and Arthur Staberg of Hudson and Singwald Staberg of Altoona; a sister, Helga Williamson of Stillwater, and five grandchildren.
There were no services.
Memorials may be sent to Marshfield Clinic Foundation for Heart Research, St. Joseph Ave., Marshfield.
