Tom and Bettye met when Tom was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky with the Army Airborne. He was very proud of being a paratrooper, and Bettye adds that "he looked great in his uniform." Bettye says "We had 40 years together and he never lost his sense of humor or his love of Wisconsin."
