Helen M. Stayberg, 69, 1221 Twelfth st., died Monday, Feb. 14, at United Hospitals, St. Paul, where she had been a patient for three days.
Born June 3, 1913, in Roberts, the daughter of Miles and Marion (Harnden) Hughes, she was married to Herbert Stayberg Oct. 31, 1931 in Hudson. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1981.
She is survived by five sons: Richard of Orange, Calif., John C. (Jack) of Audubon ct., Dale of St. Paul, Daniel of Hastings, and William of 926 Fourth st.; a daughter, Mrs. John (Marion) Heebink, St. Mary's Point; two brothers, Charles Hughes of Norwalk, Calif., and Leonard Hughes of Ojai, Calif.; two sisters, Gladys Jacobsen and Laura Dempsey, both of Los Angeles; 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold.
Her body was cremated.
Memorial services are at 10am, Saturday, Feb. 19, at Swanson-Murphy-Kramer Funeral Home, and interment in Willow River Cemetery.
