I grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I lived there until the 8th grade when my
family decided to move to a small town in northern Minnesota, Pelican Rapids.
We lived there for three years, and determined that small town life wasn't for
us. So we moved back to Stillwater, Minnesota and have stayed ever since.
I was active in volleyball, student council, andvarious social groups
throughout high school. I travelled to Washington, D.C. my senior year with a
group called "Close-Up", a group established to help students better understand
our political process. After high school I travelled to Wilton, Connecticut to
be a nanny for a family with two kids. After a wonderful four months there,
came back to Minnesota for first year of college at Winona State University.
Having loved being a nanny, I went back for six more months, the following
summer. I completed my college education at the University of Minnesota in
1993, and also married Chad that same year. We have an old two story home in
Lindstrom, Minnesota with one indoor cat named Cinders, and two outdoor/garage
adopted kittens, named Snowball and Dirtball. I enjoy canoeing, crafts,
walking, Sunday school teaching, and antiques.
