Individual Details

Richard Anthony Gartmann

(5 Mar 1938 - 2 Nov 2010)

[1973] Dick was born and raised in Hudson, attended St. Pat's gradeschool and Hudson High School. Six months after graduation he went into the active Navy serving on the cruiser, USS Los Angeles and visiting ports in Japan, Australia, Hawaii, the Philippines, Formosa, Hong Kong and Okinawa. After the Navy he worked at the Ford plant for a short time, then started in the printing trades.

[1998] Judy writes that Richard Anthony is active in the graphic arts branch of work. He loves to bike long distances, did a couple marathons, but has given up running for the moment, too busy. Cooking is his speciality, he should have been a chef, but he says the hours are worse than the printing trade. He still loves to read, hours on end if he could.
