Clara Spracklin married Martin Derenberger when she was a Sophomre in High
School. They ranched in the Garfield County area for several years then moved
to Miles City where both worked and in 1963 moved back to purchase the Cohagen
Bar. They lived here until the time of Martin's Death in December 25, 1972.
Clara later sold out the Bar to her daughter Marna Goddard and moved to Ludlow,
S.D. where she is working caring for an invalid.

Clara and Martin had four children. Mrs. Marna Goddard, Cohagen MT; Gene
Derenberger, Miles City MT; Mrs. Marie Bastian, Kensey MT; and Daniel
Derenberger who is employed at the State Hospital at Warm Springs,Montana.
Clara also has eight grandchildren.

Clara holds the distinction of being the first baby born in Garfield county
after it was split off from Dawson in 1919.
