James Harry Barker
(8 Feb 1964 - )
Website: www.evmetaldesign.com (2011)
Jim was baptized January 24, 1965 at the First Lutheran Church, Harris, Minnesota. His godparents were Virginia and Merle Larson.
Jim and Gina lived on Decatur Island in Washington state (near Seattle) where Gina ran her own oneline business, Gina B's Mortgage Processing. Gina died following a car accident in which she lost control of the car and died instantly. There wasn’t an autopsy but Jim believes she suffered an aneurysm prior to the accident. She had had several in previous years and had recently mentioned having headaches again-and she had written and left a poem to their daughter, Sky. Sky, who was 5 when Gina died, told her grandmother Karin that her mommy had told her that when she went to heaven she would watch over her.
Gina's poem to Sky
Oh Sky, you are So dear
It was the creator above
That brought you here
The chance I was given
To help you grown
Means so much more
Than you will ever know
You are my blessing,
My only success
With you safe,
I can peacefully rest
Reach for the stars
Stretch for the moon
Treasure our moments
And never feel gloom
Keep your faith strong
And you'll be okay
Know right from wrong,
Take It day by day..
When we go,
More room is made
For Fate has chosen
What soul we will trade
Our time here is precious
The love I have learned
It all about you...
It's something I earned.
Thank you so much for
My foundation
You are everything to me
Brought from God's Creation
Cherish your gifts and hold them tight
Remember the beauty releases the fright
Think of the sunset, The Moon and the Stars
For what God created, if forever ours.
I love and treasure and cherish you more than anything we could n\know,
My Love is Forever and can do nothing but Grow. I will be with you always.
