Marriage
Twenty-Five Years AgoDolph C. Prader and Marie C. Matthiessen were married at the home of the latter's mother, on the 27th, by Rev. C. E. Warner. [Monticello Express, pg 8, Thu. Nov 4, 1926]
Death
Mrs. Marie Prader, the widow of the late Dolph C. Prader died last Monday, the 30th inst., after an illness lasting more than a year. She was tenderly cared for during this long period of illness by her mother, Mrs. Anna Matthiesen, her sister, Mrs. E. A. Himebaugh, and other relatives. The funeral services are being conducted this afternoon by Rev. J. W. Innes, pastor of the Presbyterian church. The maiden name of the deceased was Matthiessen. She was born in Wayne Township,february 17, 1877. In childhood she was confirmed as a member of the German Lutheran church. She came to Monticello in 1897, and thereafter united with the Presbyterian church. She was married to Doplh C. Prader November 27, 1902. He died shortly therafter. [Monticello Express, Thu.
