Marriage
Miss Anna C. Mardorf, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Mardorf was married to John Henry Peters, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Peters, last Tuesday afternoon. The marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. Roland P. Kuentzel at the Reformed church. The bride and bridegroom were unattended. The wedding march was played by Miss Lucile Schweitzer. Following the wedding a three course dinner was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. Mardorf, the parents of the bride at 5 o'clock. After a short wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Peters will make their home on the Peters' farm in Lovell township. The bride was tastily dressed in a wedding gown of canton crepe trimmed in silver lace. She carried a shower bouquet of roses. The bridegroom served six months in the recent world war, and for the major portion of his service was stationed at Camp Forest, Georgia.Census (family)

Death
Anna C. PetersServices were held Aug. 19 for Anna C Peters, 83, at the Goettsch Funeral Home in Monticello, with burial at Oakwood Cemetery. The Rev. Norman C. Schedler officiated at the services.
Mrs. Peters died Aug. 17 at the Senior Home in Monticello, following an extended illness.
Anna C. Mardorf was born near Monticello July 15,1900, the daughter of Conrad and Marie Alrich Mardorf. She received her early education in the rural schools near her home. After her education, she helped her parents on the family farm.
Anna C. Mardorf and J. Henry Peters were married Aug. 22, 1922. The couple made their home in Lovell Township, where they farmed. They retired from farming in January 1982, and moved to Monticello. J. Henry Peters died Dec. 7,1971. In November 1977, Mrs. Peters became a resident of the Senior Home in Monticello.
She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Monticello.
Mrs. Peters is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary Hasler, and a son, Marvin J. Peters, both of Monticello; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, William Mardorf of Monticello. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son and three brothers.
Casketbearers were Clifford Mardorf, Leslie Mardorf, Dale Mardorf and Donald Tobiason.
