Nathaniel Billings here before 1640, freeman 1641; died 1673; left two sons, Nathaniel & John. John m. Elizabeth Hastings 1661; died March 31, 1704, and had John, Nathaniel, Samuel, John 2d, Elizabeth, Mary, Sarah & Joseph. Nathaniel the 2nd son, was father of Daniel Billings who lived where William Hayden, Esq. now (1835) lives, whose only child m. Deacon Amos Heald. The family originally settled in the south parts of Concord, nowLincoln, Mass., where in Acton and Lincoln, the 6th and 7th generations now (1835) reside.
