Elizabeth VAN METER married John VERTREES in Hardin County, 1795 and had one son Charles VERTREES born Feb. 25, 1797 in Hardin County died April 12,1850 in Wabash, Indiana.
Now we find that between John SWAN's death in 1782 and Elizabeth's marriage to John VERTREES in 1795 she was married to Thomas McNEIL and had children, Polly and Daniel.
