Individual Details
John Hawkins
(Abt 1706 - )
The John who was the son of John Sr. and Elizabeth and brother of Benjamin who married Sarah Willis does not have clear data. There is some thought that he may possibly be the one who married Margaret Jennings. A William and Benjamin Hawkins are living nearby on road records from Orange Co. William Hawkins also shows up on the Tithe list in 1734. These Hawkins could be the brothers from this family.

Notes
Marriage
John's wife is listed as Ann Amburge by some researchers. Not verified. Janet S. says she also had someone mention Ann Amburge but thinks if John did marry her - it was possibly a second - her records show Ann Amburge b. ca 1720 and m. ca. 1740; the John2 we are talking about was born ca 1700 and 40 years before the proposed marriage to Ann Amburge.Endnotes
