Death
Herbert Henry Prouty 1924 -2013 Herb Prouty died in Colville, Washington February 2, 2013. He lived a long life filled with family, friends and a caring community. He was born May 12, 1924 to Ralph and Erma Prouty on the family farm on Sullivan Lake Road just north of Metaline Falls, Washington. He lived with family and worked on the farm until his father's death in 1982. He was then able to move to an apartment in Kaniksu Village where he lived until shortly before his death. Herb was a faithful member of the Assembly of God Church in Metaline Falls. He also participated in the Pend Oreille County Developmental Disability Day Treatment and appreciated the friendships in addition to all the activities which provided him the opportunity to travel. He especially enjoyed bowling and the track events at Special Olympics. Herb was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Erma Prouty, his brother Richard Prouty and sister Darlene Prouty Frysinger.Endnotes
