Benjamin is from Truro, Mass.
According to McLellan's History of Gorham, Maine, Benjamin Snow is said to have come from Barnstable. He bought a hundred acre lot from Daniel Eldridge in November 1773 and moved about that time with his family, consisting of his mother, wife, and seven children. He was living in part of Capt. Eldridge's house when it burned in 1774. His wife's name was Bathsheba ---. Two childrens births are recorded in Gorham, the rest were born before coming to the Gorham. Benjamin Snow left Gorham about 1794, going to Orrington, and from there moving to Bucksport (768).
