G. J. Heiken was summoned to Langworthy last Saturday, on account of the serious illness of his brother-in-law, Mr. Albert Iben. Mr. Heiken assisted in removing the sick man to the Anamosa sanitarium on Sunday. Mr. Iben was formerly a resident of Castle grove and his friends here are hoping to hear of his speedy recovery.

I.A. Heiken and G. J. Heiken, visited with Albert Iben at the Sanitarium in Anamosa, last Sunday. They report Mr. Iben as being very weak.

Monticello Express April 18, 1946Albert Iben Funeral Rites Held Tuesday
Funeral services for Albert Iben were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. in St. Matthew's Lutheran church, Monticello. Burial was made in Oakwood. The services were in charge of the Rev. H. L. Adix and the Rev. G. J. Zeilinger.
Mr. Iben died suddenly Friday evening in the home of his brother-in-law, Chris Eiben, with whom he had made his home for the past seven years.
The deceased was born March 2, 1871, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Iben at Moens, Ostfriesland, Germany. He was united in marriage to Lena Eiben, March 10, 1896, in the Lutheran church at Sand Hill. After their marriage, they lived on farms in South Dakota and Kansas.
Surviving Mr. Iben are three brothers; Ibe Iben, Manchester; Gerd Iben, Germany; and Fred Iben. His wife preceded him in death.
