Muriel Frieda "Mert" Hanssen
(10 Sep 1917 - 1 Jan 2001)
Letter written after Glenn Eilers funeral, Jan 20th 1999.
Murlee (Mary's daughter) and I went to Glenn's funeral today. Dale Adams took care of all the arrangements. He had one floral bouquet and it said "brother" - probably from the Adams.
We had a nice luncheon at the church. We had a table of folks trying to figure out how we were related. ha Wish George could have been ther for his genealogy. We rode to the cemetery with Lorene Eilers and her daughter. Doris Eilers and husband were there. Did you know Alva Eilers' family? Also Bud Eilers and wife were there. His dad was Merl Eilers.
Glenn looked good, had that little smile on his face. We sure had alot of fun with him and Frances.
So sorry to hear of Garnet's latest surgery. She has been thru so much. She sent me a picture of Grandpa & Grandma Eilers wedding. I sent it to George for his genealogy.
I had a card from Don McCoy. He isn't feeling well, has serious heart & liver problems. He may need surgery. Take care & write.
Love, Muriel
