Coldwater Christian Church
.....
Youth have always been an important aspect of this congregation. Since there is no record however, we do not know the exact date of the organization of Christian Endeavor (CE). Older members say that CE was started soon after the church was built in 1910. Members at that time were Ramola Ham, Faye Ham, Ferne Lease, Fonda Hormbuk, Vera Griffith (Malone), Ada Harbaugh, Maude Guizlo, George Burch, Frank Burch, Ed Habaugh, Pearl Settle, Clyde Cotton, Hueston Cline, and Mabel Yonker (Eaton). Mabel Eaton became a member in March 1910, and has the distinction of longest membership of any resident member, at the time of this writing, August 1980.

Death
The Western Star, June 4, 1920.DEATH OF MRS. H. M. STANLEY
A telegram was received by relatives here on Thursday morning of this week conveying the sad intelligence that Mrs. Maudie Stanley, wife of Henry M. Stanley, had died at 8 o'clock that morning in Garden City. Death was the result of euremic poisoning. Mrs. Stanley's brother, Earl Guizlo, and wife, also Mr. Stanley's bother, Lawton Stanley, and wife, and Mrs. Oscar Taylor started Thursday morning for Garden City.
Deceased was well known here, having lived in the county for several years. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Guizlo, now both deceased, and who were among the honored citizens of this county. She was an accomplished young lady and won many friends wherever she went.
Her untimely death brings a keen sense of sorrow to many people here who knew her well. Her marriage to Henry M. Stanley occurred in this city on September 14, 1915. About a year later they moved to Garden City where Mr. Stanley has since conducted a job printing office. The sorrowing husband and other relatives have the sincere sympathy of many friends here in their sad affliction.
