Newly Married At MonticelloMRS. WILBUR J. HINRICHS.
Announcement has been made of the marriage of Miss Betty Jean Adamson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Adamson of Monticello, to Wilbur J. Hinrichs, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Hinrichs, also of Monticello.
The ceremony was performed in the parsonage of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran church by the Rev. F. H. Kehren. Attending the couple were Miss Ramona Hoffman of Monticello, and Milton Harms of Scotch Grove.
The bride wore a soldier blue suit with white accessories, and a corsage of red roses. Miss Hoffman's gray suit was complemented with black accessories. Her corsage was of white gladiolas.
A reception will be given Monday for the couple in Monticello.
Death
Betty Jean (Adamson) Hinrichs died of a stroke at Hidden Lake Care Center on Friday, May 6. At her request, her body will be cremated, and a celebration of her life will be held in July when the entire family and friends can be together in Kansas City. Betty was born and raised in Monticello, Iowa. She was married to Wilbur for 57 years and they lived in Iowa, Arizona, California and Nevada before retiring in Kansas City in 1989. Wilbur preceded her in death in 2003. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Christopher Todd Hinrichs. She is survived by five children and their families: Dan and Judy Hinrichs (Placerville, CA); Shirley Hinrichs (Kansas City, MO); Luann and Lee Johnson (Kansas City, MO); Scott and Pam Hinrichs (Blue Springs, MO); Todd and Penny Hinrichs (Placerville, CA); nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Donations may be made in her memory to Camp Courageous in Monticello, Iowa.Endnotes
