Hattie and her husband moved to Macksville about 1899, where he was an employee of the Santa Fe. She was a past matron of Rose of Sharon Chapter Order of Eastern Star of Macksville.

Mrs. Hattie Guizlo, with her two little daughters, arrived here a few days ago from Maxwell, this state, and are at the home of her sister, Mrs. L. E. Duval, being called here on account of Mrs. Duval's illness. Mr. Guizlo is agent for the Santa Fe at Maxwell.

Miss Hattie Martin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin of Dragoon township and Mr. Ben. F. Guizlo of Manchester Kan. were joined in marriage at the Baptist parsonage on Thursday evening Oct. 13th Rev. H. F. Peery performed the sacred ceremony. Miss Martin is an estimable young lady who has resided here for some time and has a wide circle of friends. Mr. Guizlo is a former Burlingame boy who now has a responsible and lucrative position as telegraph operator at Manchester. He is an enterprising , energetic and industrious young man of integrity. The Chronicle joins with their many friends in wishing this happy young couple, all joy in their wedded life and may prosperity attend them as they journey together.
They left yesterday for Manchester where they will make their home in the future.

Mary Hattie GuizloMary Hattie Guizlo, announcement of whose death appeared in our issue of last week, was born in Butler, Bates county, Missouri, September 19th, 1871, and passed away at Grace Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., October 22nd, 1925, at 6:30 a. m.
When a child she moved with her parents to Longton, Kansas, and later to Burlingame, Kansas, where on October 13th, 1892, she was married to Benjamin Guizlo, who preceded her in death November 12th, 1915. To this union four children were born, all of whom were wit her during her last illness. The children are Chas. N. Guizlo of Kansas City, Mo, Mrs. Celia M. Rathbun of Emporia, Kansas; Mrs. Hazel M. Bruce of Sacramento, California, and Harold P. Guizlo who resides in Macksville. She is also survived by her father, three brothers and four sisters. Two of her brothers, W. L. Martin, of Colorado, and Leonard Martin, of Sedan, Kansas, were here for the funeral. Her father and two sisters were her in Kansas City.
While at Burlingame she identified herself with the Baptist church, and her life since childhood bore the stamp of the true christian. She was a past matron of Rose of Sharon Chapter Order of Eastern Star of Macksville, and the members of the Chapter attended the funeral in a body.
Mrs. Guizlo had lived in Macksville about twenty-six years, coming here with here husband who was in the service of the Santa Fe, taking the position of agent at this place. She will be missed by many friends who mourn her death.
The funeral services were held at the Christian church in this city Sunday, October 25th, at 2:30 p. m., conducted by M. J. Duncan, minister. Burial was in Farmington Cemetery.
