Life LegacyLouise Null, age 81, of Monticello, died Friday, January 07, 2005 at the Jones Regional Medical Center, Anamosa following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held 11:00 oclock Tuesday morning January 11, 2005 at St. Johns Lutheran Church, rural Monticello with interment in the Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 8 oclock Monday, January 10, 2005 at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello. Rev. Reed Stockman will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.Surviving are her husband, Vernon, 4 children, Diane (Robert) Cerny, Robert (Jan) Null, Richard (Pam) Null, Glen Null, all of Monticello, 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, and a brother, William (Dorothy) Baumann, Monticello. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, James, 2 half-brothers, Ed and John Stiffler.Louise P. Baumann was born November 17, 1923, the daughter of Peter and Emma Schneiter, Baumann. She was baptized and confirmed at Peace United Church of Christ. After attending rural school, Louise worked in area homes. Louise Baumann and Vernon Null were married April 8, 1947 at St. Johns Lutheran Church, rural Monticello. The couple farmed in Scotch Grove Township. In 1953 the couple bought a farm in Scotch Grove Township where they lived until moving to Monticello in 1981. Louise was a member at St. Johns Lutheran Church. She loved flowers, gardening. She especially enjoyed her 2 trips to Europe and visiting her ancestral homeland of Switzerland.
