Pearl Harbor
Mr. and Mrs. Carl W. Siebels, Monticello, have learned that their son, Alvin Louis Siebels, a sailor on a boat supposedly in the vicinity of Pearl Harbor when the recent Jap attack occurred, is apparently safe. They failed to hear from him after the attack and finally sought the offices of the Monticello Red Cross of which Cecil Goettsch is chairman for the work of contacting soldiers and sailors in the armed forces. Word was received from the Red Cross headquarters at Washington that Siebels up to Jan.19 was not listed among ny casualties or wounded soldiers in the United States armed forces.
