Mrs. Margaret Eiben, 73, of 218 32nd St. NE, died at her home Saturday morning.Born Feb. 23, 1904, in Anamosa, she was married to Garrett Eiben on July 10, 1937, in Dubuque. Mr. Eiben died last May.
Mrs. Eiben had lived in Cedar Rapids for the past 38 years. She taught in the Norway school system and was a substitue teacher in the Cedar Rapids school system.
She was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, Senior Citizens of St. Matthews and the Retired Teachers Association.
She is survived by one son, Thomas, of Arlington Heights, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. James Dunn of Newfoundland, N.J., Mrs. Alfred Nurre of Dyersville, and Mrs. Richard Larson, Klemme; one brother, Monsignor Joseph Dunn, of Dubuque; and one sister, Irene Dunn, Cedar Rapids; and 10 grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday at St. Matthews Church by the Rev. A.A. Sodawasser and Monsignor Dunn. Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery, Anamosa, at 1:30 p.m.
Visitation from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Stewart Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
