Death
Minnie G. PaulsenServices for Mrs. Minnie G. Paulsen were held April 11 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Monticello, and burial was in Oakwood Cemetery. The Rev. Harold Naig officiated at the services.
Mrs. Paulsen died April 9 at the Monticello Senior Home, where she had been a resident for the past three months. She was 87.
Minnie Gerhardine Husmann was born in Wayne Township, near Monticello on Feb. 15, 1894. She was the daughter of Julf Husmann and his wife Catherina Wilken Husmann. She had received her early education in the rural schools of Jones County.
Minnie Husmann and Jacob L. Paulsen were married Feb. 4, 1913 near Monticello, and following their marriage the couple farmed in the Monticello community until 1946, when they moved to Monticello to make their home. She was baptized and confirmed in the Wayne Zion Lutheran Church, and was now a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Monticello. Mr. Paulsen preceded her in death April 21, 1976.
Mrs. Paulsen is survived by a daughter C. Marie, Mrs. Paul Martensen, Monticello, and two granddaughters, Janice Sedlacek, Fort Madison and Marilyn Apel, Monticello, and a sister Mrs. Meta Gerdes, Visalia, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters and two
brothers.
