Marriage
The New York Times. Wednesday, June 2, 1897Prouty - Jerome.
A wedding of interest to New York people was celebrated in the Protestant Episcopal Church of Williamstown, Mass., yesterday, when Miss Fannie Jerome, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Jerome, and granddaughter of the late Addison Jerome of New York, became the bride of Phineas Prouty of Rochester. The Rev. Dr. Henry Mottet of this city officiated at the ceremony, which was followed by and elaborate reception at the country home of the bride's parents, at Williamstown. Attending the bride at the church were Miss Germaine Stoddard, as maid of honor, and Miss Alice Spofford and Miss Ethel Dominick, as bridesmaids. They wore pretty gowns of white mull over silk, embellished with soft white lace, and picture hats of white lace and mull trimmed with pink roses and leaves. Their bouquets of American Beauty roses were tied with ling streamers of pink moire ribbon. The bride is the sister of Mrs. Douglas Worth Olcott of Albany, and cousin of Lady Randolph Churchill.
