Uncle Vin died a few years ago, his son, my next cousin, I was theoldest and Bobbie about six months younger than me, Uncle Vin being my mothers brother, Aunt Lil, his wife, very finnish, with the sauna and all, just had her 80th birthday a few years ago, and funny all the brothers and issters were there, and I always most comfortable with bobbie ad Joanie, the next one in line with Vin, at the gathering I said you know I just turened 60 do you think I can drop the Aunt and Uncle now, and they played me up the hilt and finally said yes I gues you can, and you know what, I cant', it's a respect thing, I was taught Aunt and Uncle and I cannot call them anything less, funny (Tuneberg).

Death
Vincent Edward DuMont, 88, died March 27, 2004, On March 27, 2004 at the Perham Memorial Hospital.Mr. DuMont was born July 25, 1915, in Wadena to Otto and Catherine (Breher) DuMont. He attended St. Ann's Parochial School while he was growing up in the rural Wadena and New York Mills, Minn., area. On November 26, 1941 he married Lillian Blomberg in Las Vegas. They lived in California, where Vincent was employed at Lockheed Aircraft as a machinist. In 1945 they moved to the St. Cloud, Minnesota area where he was also employed as a machinist for airplanes. In 1947 the DuMont family moved to the New York Mills, Minnesota area where they dairy farmed. Vincent was also employed by the Larson Ford Garage in New York Mills. They opened DuMont repair shop in Bluffton, Minn., then moved it out to their farm in Bluffton Township. Mr. DuMont liked to go visiting and being with family. He enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing and horses. A funeral was at 11 a.m. March 31 at St. John's Catholic Church in Bluffton, Minn., with the Rev. Kevin Schwartz officiating and Karvonen & Son Funeral Home in New York Mills, Minn., in charge of arrangements. Interment was in St. John's Catholic Church Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Jeffrey Weappa, Joseph Weappa, Troy Leeseberg, Duane DuMont, Cullen Czech and Jacob Czech. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren were honorary bearers.
Mr. DuMont is survived by his wife, Lillian DuMont of New York Mills; 2 daughters: Joan DuMont of New York Mills; Michele (Del Nord) DuMont of Eagan; daughter-in-law, Peggy DuMont of New York Mills; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Shinkle of Germantown, Tenn.; 2 brothers: Donald DuMont of New York Mills; Joseph (Charlene) DuMont of Lansing, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert DuMont; brother, Jim DuMont; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Everett Tuneberg; grandson, Eric Nord.
